We have moved!! Sorry things have not been updated for a while. We have moved to Pocatello, Preston is starting school in January and I am looking for a job. We have had a lot of adventures and are still sorting things out. But that is the way it goes. We had a wonderful Christmas. As soon as I upload some pictures I will post them.

Kaleb thinks that he needs to ride the truck, not caring that it was not made to ride, he is very cute. He rides or climbs on everything these days.

Kaleb lounging! Thanks to Daddy for the box used for his waders.
Lounging again!
Kaleb is so fun he amazes us everyday with how smart he his, he is learning to help out and is determined to be independent. This weekend we went to Salt Lake and Kaleb showed Grandpa how independent he is by pushing Zak's big hockey bag all by himself, if Grandpa tried to help he would push is hand off of the bag. These are just some pictures of how he plays and the random things he decides are toys.

Outdoor Excursions!

Dad and Kaleb on a hike in Utah!
Dad is calling ducks and Kaleb is watching for them.
Kaleb and Grandpa on the way down.
Kaleb fell asleep on the way down.
Grandpa and Kaleb hunting.

We have had so many outdoor excursions the last few weeks. But Kaleb has loved every minute of it. He would live outside if we would let him. He loves rocks, dirt and water. He will persuade everyone that he needs back outside by grabbing your hand hand leading you to the door.

The Start of Hunting Season!

In the very center of the picture is a huge Bull
Elk!

This last weekend was the start of the fall hunting tradition for 2008. Preston decided to try archery hunting for the first time. Grandma was kind enough to spend some time with Kaleb. Preston, his brother Nick and I spent some quality time in the great outdoors. I should let you know that for the last three years we had the animal in the truck by 10 a.m., so we have done little hiking, but I had a whole different experience this time. Saturday was beautiful, rather warm but worth the trip non the less. We saw a lot of animals; coyotes, grouse, moose, elk and deer. The morning started great we are on our way to the hunting spot and there were 5 or 6 bucks in the road, it was awesome but there was one or two draw backs, it was dark and it was private property. So on we went, we hiked a lot, but luckily my amazing husband was patient with me and never showed the smallest sign of wishing I hadn't come. The evening ended seeing the biggest bull elk ever! Granted I didn't get a very good picture but oh well. Then Preston was able to draw back on a doe but he didn't take her because she had two fawns. So we ended the day without a deer, it is early in the season so better luck next time. It was so fun I am glad that I got to spend a day with Preston experiencing the beauties of the earth. I am excited to get to go again.

Every age is so fun!

I am finding that every stage in Kaleb's life is unique. They all have there challenges and they all have amazing rewards. From his first little giggle to the discovery of the world that opens up when he becomes mobile and gets into everything, it is all worth it!Kaleb is such a big helper, he has been helping me clean an apartment this week. He climbed in the cabinets and waited for me to find him. At one point he climbed in the refrigerator, and played in it for a good ten minutes. He would also fallowed me around and washed the walls after I would wash them. As he grows he gets to be more and more fun.

If life weren't buisy we'd complain about being bored.

How do summers go by so fast?? We have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off. But it has all been worth it. Lots of fun adventures! Kaleb is so fun. He was so proud of himself this morning when he figured out how to turn on the TV, he turned it off and on about ten times. He can also listen and fallow directions, it is so fun and makes things easier. The picture I have posted is of one of us visiting Mesa Falls this last weekend.

This is a picture of Kaleb doing two of his favorite things, playing with a ball and being outside. He is getting so smart. It amazes me what he picks up on. This last week I was outside mowing the lawn and Preston and Kaleb were inside playing. Kaleb grabbed his shoes and went into the bedroom where Preston was Saying "Dad", he handed him the shoes and then walked to the door pointing and saying "Mom". So sure enough Preston had to reward him for being so smart by bringing him out to see me. He has also started doing a little dance when he is excited about something it is very cute, he stops his little feet and everything.

Becoming a big boy so soon...

Kaleb is moving around like a crazy man! He is so fun. He really is becoming his own little person. He says a few words but never when we try to make him. only when he wants to. The latest is pretty and he definitely knows what a ball is. Yesterday we where teaching him to put the ball in a net that Nana got for him. We cheered for him when he did it and he thought he was pretty cool. He loves to dance! As I write this he is listening to the music on my phone and dancing to it. He will now take our hand and walk us to what he wants. Or as we experienced recently, if we wont give him what he wants he'll just ask Grandma she'll do it.

Happy Happy Birthday Kaleb!

Eating cake! Riding the new tractor!
Playing in the sprinkler, trying to drink it.
In the process of changing.

Yesterday we got to celebrate Kaleb's first birthday. I can't believe how fast his first year went. Here are some pictures of his party.

Lots of fun summer adventures!!

Kaleb had so much fun with Uncle Zak when he came to stay. This is Kaleb giving Zak loves. Grandpa teaching Kaleb all about playing the piano.
You should have seen his face he was having so much fun on the horse.
Kaleb looking at the barking dogs while riding Lucky with Grandpa's help.
Kaleb watering the horses with Grandma. He thought the hose was the coolest thing.

Kaleb had his first camping experience. He liked to play with the tent and our friends Bri and Daniel. Daddy taught him to through rocks in the creek.

Life gets tents to get away from you sometimes when things are busy. Kaleb is walking all over he gets so excited, he will just giggle at himself. I thought he was fast crawling but apparently he can be even faster walking and trying to run! He loves balls and refers to all of them as "ba ball" in translation basketball. He often will be playing with his ball and go into our room and get Preston's ball so he can have two of them. He also like to climb up on to the futon, he can't get off and tries a face first dismount, despite he love to stand on the futon and dance.

Concert!!

Grandpa came to visit this weekend and we went to the 1964 Tribute concert. It was a Beatles concert. Kaleb was so good and he even took a nap in the middle of it. He had a lot of fun playing with Zak, Amanda and Grandpa. Kaleb is getting so close to just walking around all the time. He is learning how to walk and stand while doing other things like playing with what ever random item in the house has been picked for the toy of the day.

Thursday, May 22, 2008

Kaleb is so smart! This last week he has been playing with a shoe box (kids love to play with everything that is not a toy) he likes to climb on top of it and just look around. He also pushes it up to things and stands on it. Yesterday he pushed it up to his toy truck, climbed on top of the box and bent over to play with the truck. He also was so excited to get home from being out of town yesterday, when we put him in the tub he had a blast. We was splashing like a crazy man, there was water everywhere, and I was getting soaked. He also started practicing his dance moves in the tub. I can't even begin to explain how cute it was, I was very nervous he was going to hurt himself though. We will just have to keep a closer eye on him as he becomes more adventurous.

Let me outside!

Kaleb loves to go outside! Now that it is hopefully starting to get warm Kaleb likes to play outside, to get out of the apartment he will help me get the mail and he helps Preston take out the trash, he also loves to go for walks to the grocery store. These pictures are of him and I outside examining the tree by our apartment. Hopefully we will soon get to have more outdoor adventures!

Tag Your It!...

So Holli tagged me, This means I am supposed to list 6 facts about me...

1) I am the wife of the great white hunter! The goal is to take hunters safety this year, so I can participate in the hunting events with my amazing husband! Instead of just tagging along, probably slowing him down but he is a good sport about it. I think I would like to shot a deer this year and totally shoot the pheasants with all the men at Jeremy's.
2) I love Ice cream!! I am picky about the kinds I like, mint and strawberry with chunks of strawberry to name a couple. And every time my poor husband is lucky to get a single bowl. I know it is horrible but I eat it all.
3) I am a germ freak. And I have a few repercussions of OCD. I go as far as to put hand sanitizer on every time I leave a store. Especially Wally World and the grocery store. I also check at least twice to make sure I have turned things off before we leave and to make sure I locked the door(sometime I turn around though I know I double checked). Preston's favorite is that I count the amount of times I put deodorant on. Preston gives me a hard time but I tell him he hasn't seen anything until he watches the movie Match Stick Men. That is extreme OCD!
4) I am bad at meal planning I feel pretty good if I can think of dinner for every night of the week without asking Preston. I also have to work hard to make a balanced meal. I am better than when we first got married. I like to cook but don't think of what to eat very well.
5) I am not so good at sowing, I like to try but end up frustrated. I can't cut straight and would rather do crafts because hey if it is a little crooked it just adds character.
6) I hate filling papers! I pile them and then get so frustrated that they are not put away that I tell Preston I want to blow up the apartment. I know it is a little extreme but I get overwhelmed by mountains of paper.

Little man trying to walk!

Kaleb is trying so hard to walk!! Sunday he just took off, only short distances of course. I hear walking is a whole new adventure! Here is a little video blip but pretend like the camera person didn't do a horrible job OK.

Kaleb likes to help me do laundry. these are a couple pictures of him climbing in the basket as he was helping me. I am sure the pictures don't do justice for how funny it was watching him try to get into the basket with his little legs kicking over the edge! He also said an entire sentence this last week and we tried so hard to get him to say it again but it was to no avail. we were telling Preston's parents that Preston had make Kaleb's hair stand up all crazy like and I turned to Kaleb and said Daddy did it, as Kaleb was playing with some toys he and like it was nothing said "Daddy did it". It was so cute.

Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Kaleb loves to look out the window, when we put him to bed of nap time he generally will walk (holding on to the crib) to the window and pull open the drapes and look out the window until he his too tired to do it anymore. then we go in to check on him and he has his little bum in the air and is sound asleep but the drapes are pulled open.

First Haircut

So a few weeks ago we gave Kaleb his first haircut! He sat in the sink while Preston and I went to work on him. Now mind you his hair is pretty thin, but that doesn't stop the stragglers from grown to his eyes and the wings over the ears. Preston would put his hand against Kaleb's head to protect him from my cutting. All in all it went pretty well, no tantrums and even better no blood! Yeah we had a successful first haircut. (maybe some one should pin uncle Bumpy down and cut his hair haha!)

New Adventure!

So we are taking on the adventure of blogging!! We thought that this would be an alternative to sending so many picture attachments via email. This way we can watch Kaleb grow hopefully with less email hassle!
